Memorable Moments...

We have all had that moment when we are left astounished, amazed, and/or suprised. A moment when nothing else matters because you have witnessed something so spectacular that it demands all of your attention. It is these memorable pieces of history that stick in our minds for years and years. This is where my question comes in. What makes a performance memorable?

Most of you know I am a hip-hop artist, but I am also a supporter. Often I find myself looking for the awe or wow moment in performances. Does preparation lead to better performances or should one just go up and freelance it? P. Diddy is one of the best performers in my opinion. His performances are filled with excitement and Im not sure if I could stand Biggie's onstage presence if Diddy was not backing him. But what exactly is it. I critize mainstream artists more than independent because they have the financial backing to make a performance memorable with props, dances, and lighting. Independent artists have to find more conventional ways to please the crowd. But what are those ways?

I am smart enough to know that their is always room for improvement and in order to take your music beyond just music one must leave a lasting impression on fans. Performances are a good way to do this. Is lots of energy the way to go? What makes a performance memorable in your mind? What is it that an independent artist like me can do to grab your attention and keep it? Your comments are welcome.

Does Sex Really Change Things?

Hearts broken... Relationships Ended... Love Lost and Gained... These are just some of the "consequences" when you bring sex into the picture. But Does Sex Really Change Things?

History has taught me that sex does change things. It matters more than some people want to admit. After all, Ive talked to friends and some would  not even consider dating a female or male if the intercourse was not acceptible. Likewise, some will not participate in the act until marriage. There are conflicting views on the subject, but one thing is clear, sex is the most talked about subject in todays time.

In a world where sex and sex appeal is promoted there's no reason why everyone talks about it. Kids are having sex at younger ages and those who aren't are considered to be missing out. Relationships have been started on good sex if not great, but is that really the foundation that needs to be in place for a relationship to work? Why does sex make a person love a person more? I believe a relationship can not survive with just good sex, but it can balance out the lows of one. But it gets complicated...

There are those that participate in intercourse with their spouse and/or casual partner, but do not want to do oral, anal, and other types of sexual activities. Some people just are not into those things and some require more than just regular sex. The topic gets very broad... There are so many factors to consider. Those who have sex want to try different things (oral, anal, etc.) because regular sex just isnt enough anymore, those who have bad sex look at their partner differently afterwards, and those who choose not to participate in intercourse miss out on meeting half the world and starting a relationship built on core values because most will not give them the time of day.

Leave you opinion... Is sex a must in your love life? Will you stay with a person after having consistent bad sex? Does Sex Really Change Things? What Do You Think?

Money Makes Me...

How important is money to you? I understand this question could be answered in many different ways seeing as though everyone's situation is different, but in this world today money is somewhat important to everyone.

We live in a society where people are judged by their financial status. We all went to high school and we all know about the different ways we classify one another; the rich kids, the poor kids, the middle class that just seem to fit in, etc. Although, money can not buy love, it can put you in stressful situations, whether you have a lot of money or little to know money. The rich suffer from different problems then those of the poor class of people. So is it better to just be in the middle? I personally do not have to be rich, but I must be comfortable to be happy. It just so happens that money is needed in order to live comfortable in this day and time.

There are those that say, Money cant buy happiness... Money is the root of all evil... Money cant buy love... But at the end of the day what are we all talking about, "Money." So whether we like it or not money plays a major part on how we live our lives and how "comfortable" we are as human beings.

Agree or Disagree?

When Is It Time To Say Goodbye?

People who know me know I dont watch much tv, but lately I have been watching Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore is a reality tv show featuring a group of people from New Jersey and the surrounding area who have to live together, hence where the drama occurs. There is a couple on the show who have been getting a lot of attention over the past episodes, Sammie and Ron. Sammie, a typical head over heels into the relationship girl, is dating Ron on and off, but Ronnie keeps cheating on here. Not gonna go into too much detail on the show, but it is very entertaining I recommend watching it.

So when is it really time to say, enough is enough? Sammie is well aware of the way Ron acts and the way he treats her, but she continues to stay committed. I never understood why some females will stay in abusive, unstable, or bad relationships. Is love enough to keep you with a person that cheats, hits you, argues or calls you names? I see this happening a lot. When is it timeto say goodbye? Do you put up with it hoping that he or she will change in the long run? Or do you give up and just say goodbye?

Leave your opinion, I wanna hear what you all think...

Its Time For Some Football...

It is exactly 21 minutes until the kickoff of the 2010-2011 football season. Ready to enjoy watching football along with its benefits, including the lazy yet energetic state it leaves me in... haha My predictions for this year are bias, as it is every year. Go Cowboys... Its only right that we make it to the big game in the year the Super Bowl is played in our stadium. (duh) On a side note, Halo: Reach for the 360 is coming out 9/14 so all my halo fans get ready.

On to other topics, my weekend went well. Took a trip to the country, which equalled, less than satisfactory cell phone coverage. This bothers me. Everyone knows I am a big fan of AT&T and Apple, but I am plagued with Edge connectivity in more locations than need be. I mean come on AT&T, how are you gonna launch your 4g network in less than a year when 3g coverage is not offered in a lot of places. Any who, Ill keep hoping and praying for a change. Luv you guys through thick and thin.

Im using a new app for writing my blogs starting Saturday so hopefully this will keep me from having to rush to write my blogs, seeing as though I can write them on the go... Other than that, look for my blog Saturday, September 11... I have an interesting topic to discuss. Until then, enjoy the game and your weekend guys... LGi

What's your prediction: Saints or Vikings? And do you think Brett Favre will have a year less than, equal to, or greater than last years numbers?

Women Lie, Men Lie...

It seems this topic will always be up for debate so why not talk about it again. There is a superficial image that men and women display when they start a new relationship. Why do men and women do this? I think the reasons range from being wanted, to not wanting their spouse to see too much of them at once. Not to say that the other party would not like what they see or hear, but maybe too much of a good thing at once can run a person away.

So instead we choose to lie indirectly; not necessarily using falsifying statements to enhance our personality, but displaying an image of yourself that is pleasing to the eyes and ears. This ranges from dressing really nice, to saying things that you normally wouldnt say on a regular basis, and doing things that you normally would not do in a long term relationship. The problem with this is that no one can keep up the first impression that leave many thinking he/she is the one. Eventually, he/she is gonna is going to do, wear, or say something that you did not know could be said. Thats why you hear couples argue about things that they used to do, that they do not do anymore.

Do you agree with me? Do you think you give off a false persona of yourself to the opposite sex? Men lie and women lie, for it is a way of life and something that just seems to happen. What can we do to change it? Leave your opinions please. Thanks.

Adrenaline Rushes, The Crowd Screams, Then...

There's something about performing for people that gives me a feeling otherwise obscene. The screams of fans and people who know nothing of me, but like what they hear. The indirect exercise created by jumping around, moving wildly, and yelling. I guess everyone has something that makes them feel that way, something that makes them happy always. No matter what mood Im in, rocking a crowd always makes my day. Greene St Club was no different Friday, August 27, 2010. When facing a crowd of over 250 people, LGi takes the stage and impresses. Im not sure if its the attention and acknowledgement that I love more, or the fact that I actually write what I perform. I mean people really emjoy seeing us. This is what drives me. As long as I have people listening, I will not stop. And if I dont stop, Im only going to improve and move higher up the ladder. For this is the essence of who I am...

Day B4 Performances

The day before a performance is always a busy one for me. There's outfit shopping and general preparation for the show. Appearance is a good portion of how you are viewed by your fans and potential fans, so finding an outfit that is fresh and noticeable is key. I always start with the shoes. Picking the shoes I am going to where helps me place an image in my head of what I am looking for. Next, I pick the color shirt I want to accent with the shoes. The shirt should be used as a representation of who you are, therefore, promoting you as a performer. I usually have my performance shirts custom made with my label and name, along with twitter info. Gotta love twitter!!! Then depending on how I am feeling, I may accesorize. I accesories range from hats, to watches, to anything else that I think stands out or looks appealing. There you have, all done with the outfit part of the day.

The next part of the day consists of going over show mixes for the performance. This is just a fail safe plan for not having a cd at the performance that does not play your music. I like to go over movements that would possible look good on stage also, along with, finalizing times that me and the group would meet up tomorrow.

Next, I relax. This can be accomplished in a number of different ways. Mostly, I just do something I enjoy doing followed by a good nights rest. And there you have it. I am now ready for the big day. I'm always thinking of ways to make my performances better though. I look at what I think makes a performance great and I integrate it into my own personal routine best I can. What do you all think makes a performance good and memorable? I leave this question for you all. I hope to hear you opinions/comments. Until next time, Peace!!!

Image: Defining A Person

A site manager looks in a room full of possible candidates to fill an open position. All candidates are clothed in suit and tie except one guy, who wears tennis shoes and a tee. Immediately, the person with the shoes and tee is disqualified from the position before the manager looks at credentials or ask the standard interview questions. This person may have been the most qualified person at the interview. He may have had prior experience in the field, along with creditable references, but his attire puts him at a disadvantage.

Is society too stuck in it's ways? Personally, I do not think you should judge a book by it's covers. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, likewise, sometimes good people do bad things. The site manager I discussed could have very well been in the same situation as the tee and tennis shoes guy, if occurances in his life turned out differently. What truly measures a person's abilities, personality, and heart? Is it how they dress or how good of a first impression is left? Or is it honest and loyalty? I wanna know your opinion.

Just like always, I ended this blog incomplete. I really want my readers (when I actually gain some, lol) to leave their opinions, insight, etc. This will help me write better blogs in the future and give me something to debate about. Until next time, Peace Out... Stacks

Faith: Believing Without Seeing

I originally was going to write my next post about my time spent last night in Chapel Hill, NC, but I have had a change of heart. (btw, I had a blast) Instead, today's post will be about "faith." The ability to believe in a concept or a set of ideas is a talent that many people do not have. Leaping before looking, Why is this so hard to do? It's known that the people who take chances; the people who act in faith, that something good will come from the things he/she is doing, are rewarded in the end. But it is the sacrifice that drives people wild. No One Wants To Sacrifice. No One Wants To Take A Loss. Let's think about this for a second. Personally, I would rather take a loss for something I believe in and lose, than to keep myself bound to the box that this society puts its citizens in.

Go for the guarantee!!!! Also known as playing it safe. Something I do not agree with. There are benefits for playing it safe, but can you truly be happy taking the safe way out, which is not neccesarily the route you really wanted to take. Being a teacher over an actor. An astronaunt over a college professor. Is it too hard of a concept to go out on faith? The fear of the unknown drives us all wild. But it is those of us that conquer our fears that accomplish great things in life.

Knowing this is a topic that will be debated and discussed for years and years, I will leave you guys with a question.
Is overcoming your fear of faith and leaping head first off a cliff worth the benefits, or do the disadvantages outweigh the advantages?

First Post Ever!!!!!!

Story of my life!!! Im never the one to discover new trends, invent new things, etc. Same goes for blogging. How can something that has been around forever not have been brought to my attention until now. Beats me... Any who, were here now, and I am here now. So Im sending my first blog as a discretional (not sure if thats a word) message. Im new to blogging, so if i send a comment or write a blog that is out of place, blame in on the definition of what a beginner is and not on me as a person. Thanks!!!!
